Currently, unions pressure employers to discipline employees that they deem a threat to union bosses' hold on power or don't do what they want. There has been circumstances where two members do the same thing but because one is a favorable member, he can continue to do what the other is punished for and if an union representative is called out on this double standard, the one member who is treated unfairly has no recourse to right the wrong.
